Nursing home transforms into Buckingham Palace for Queen’s jubilee

A nursing home in the United Kingdom reworked its facility into Buckingham Palace in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. 

The region in early June marked 70 a long time of support considering that the queen’s accession to the throne with the once-a-year, days-extended celebration. The Mountbatten Grange Care House in Windsor, Berkshire, stunned citizens with their have unique celebration by decorating the facility, from top to bottom, with all of the royal fixings. 

Decorations bundled staff members dressed up as the Queen’s Guard, red drapes, royal portraits and a throne for citizens to sit in to mark the occasion. 

“We base our activities and unique activities on residents’ likes and pursuits and are always wanting for new and exciting methods to support citizens lead satisfying life,” claimed Debbie Winwood, the facility’s manager. 

“We have several royalists living right here, especially being so near to Windsor Castle, and understood how keen they would be to rejoice the Platinum Jubilee, which is why we made a decision to celebrate in fashion,” she added. 

Winwood mentioned that inhabitants were being stunned to see the facility’s transformation. “Just like the jubilee – this was absolutely a unforgettable day and a single which we will recall for many many years to come,” she claimed. 

Resident Kathleen Lewis, 98, explained the occasion as “quite a surprise.” 

“We knew very little about what was likely on – it was all carried out so secretly,” Lewis mentioned. “I believed it was excellent.”
